On March 29 MFEIA conducted a well-attended seminar in Frederick County where we covered origin determination, evidence preservation, and advanced investigative techniques of appliance-related fire incidents.  Our class included lectures and practical exercises where students were provided with small appliances to take apart, identify protective devices and modify to start a fire.
